Call & message notes

What a logged call or message looks like on a person record.

Why notes, not a custom object

Rather than adding Quo-specific fields to your people records, the integration logs every call and message as a note on the matching person. That keeps your people records themselves clean while still giving you (and anyone else looking at that record) a complete timeline of contact history without needing to open Quo.

Call notes

Each call note includes:

  • Who was on the call and how it went (direction, status)
  • When it started, when it was answered, and how long it lasted
  • A short summary of what was discussed, once Quo generates one
  • A link to the recording, if the call was recorded
  • The full transcript, once Quo finishes processing it

If a call is logged before Quo has finished generating the summary or transcript (see What Syncs Automatically), those sections are marked "Pending" rather than left blank — the note isn't updated retroactively once that happens, so very old "Pending" notes may stay that way.

Message notes

Each text message note includes who it was from, who it was to, and the message body. If a message has no text (for example, an image-only message), the note says so rather than showing a blank body.

Duplicate protection

Each call and message is only ever logged once — if Quo redelivers the same event (which can happen with any webhook-based system), the integration recognizes it's already been logged and skips it rather than creating a duplicate note.

When a note won't be created

If your workspace has used up its free monthly allowance of calls or messages and hasn't upgraded, new calls and messages stop generating notes until either the next calendar month or you upgrade. Instead, once a month, the integration adds a single note letting you know sync is paused — see Billing.
