Frequently asked questions about the Smartlead integration.
Do I need to do anything after connecting?
No. Once you're connected, everything — creating People, logging Notes, updating Lists, creating follow-up Tasks, and promoting hot leads to Deals — happens automatically as your Smartlead campaigns run.
Will this import my past campaigns?
No. The integration only syncs activity that happens after you connect. Past campaign history stays in Smartlead.
Does this work with multiple Smartlead campaigns?
Yes. Every campaign you run in Smartlead gets its own List in Attio automatically, and all leads across all campaigns sync to the same People object.
What information does Attio get from Smartlead?
Only what's needed to keep your records useful: campaign and lead identifiers, campaign name and status, lead category, reply content, and any contact details Smartlead has for the lead (LinkedIn, phone, location). See What Syncs Automatically for the complete list.
Can I control which events sync?
Not currently — the integration syncs the full set of events described in What Syncs Automatically (sends, opens, clicks, replies, bounces, unsubscribes, and category changes). There's no per-event toggle.
How much does this cost?
Every workspace gets a free monthly allowance (50 contacts, 200 emails). Beyond that, it's $0.02 per contact and $0.004 per email on the pay-as-you-go plan, or a flat $300/mo for unlimited usage. See Billing.
Who gets assigned the follow-up task when a lead replies?
Whoever you've configured in Reply Handoff settings — either the person's owner attribute, or a fallback default assignee. If neither is set, the task has no assignee. See Settings.
Can I stop leads from being added to Deals automatically?
Yes — turn off Pipeline in settings, or leave it on and just set a target stage so promoted leads land where you want them. See Settings.
What happens if I disconnect?
Syncing stops immediately, but nothing that was already created in Attio is deleted. See Disconnecting the Integration.
Who can connect or disconnect the integration?
Anyone with permission to manage apps in your Attio workspace's Settings → Apps area.
