How hot leads get promoted to your Deals list automatically.
Automatic promotion of hot leads
Smartlead tracks a category for every lead based on how they've responded — for example, whether they've replied positively, asked for a meeting, or said they're not interested. Whenever that category changes, the integration checks it.
If the new category is one of the following, the person is automatically added to your workspace's Deals list:
- Interested
- Positive
- Meeting Booked
- Hot Lead
- Callback
- Demo
- Qualified
This means you don't have to manually watch your campaigns for good replies and remember to move people into your sales pipeline — as soon as Smartlead marks someone as a promising lead, they show up in Deals for your sales team to pick up.
What you'll see
- The person's record already has all their Smartlead history (campaign, category, notes, reply content) attached, since it was synced as the conversation happened
- They appear in your Deals list alongside any deals created through other means
- Nothing is removed or changed if a lead's category later changes again — the addition to Deals is one-directional; managing the deal from there on is up to you and your sales process
Where the category comes from
The category itself is set inside Smartlead (either manually by your team or by Smartlead's own reply classification). The integration doesn't decide categories — it only reacts to changes and mirrors them into Attio, including the Deals promotion described above.
