Leads & Deals
How interested leads can be pushed into your sales pipeline automatically.
Turning it on
Deal creation is off by default. To enable it, go to the app's settings and turn on Create or advance a deal when a lead is marked interested, then choose which deal stage new deals should land in (this defaults to "In Progress" if left blank). See Settings.
What triggers it
Only one thing: a lead being marked Interested in Instantly. Other positive-sounding statuses — meeting booked, meeting completed, and so on — update the person's status in the campaign List, but only "Interested" creates or advances a Deal.
What happens
When a lead is marked Interested and the setting is on:
- If the person already has a Deal associated with them, its stage is updated to your configured stage
- If they don't have one yet, a new Deal is created:
- Named after the campaign and the lead's email, e.g. "Q3 Outbound - jane@example.com"
- Set to your configured stage
- Linked to the person and, if known, their company
- Assigned an owner the same way Tasks are — see Notes & Tasks
Where this fits in
Deals are created directly in Attio's Deals object — not in a separate list. They show up in your pipeline alongside deals created any other way, and from there managing them is entirely up to your normal sales process. The integration doesn't track or update the deal further once it's created or advanced.
